Rob and I hiked up the Elephant Rock trail a little ways this afternoon. Such a beautiful time of year. The river is rushing like mad with the snow runoff. There are wildflowers here and there, and the mountain is as green as can be from all the rain we've had, and still has snow-capped peaks.
We were both missing Holls and Burd and thinking how much fun it was to hike with them last year in Logan Canyon. We will do it again, that's for sure...maybe in Oregon next time!
Unfortunately, crews have torn up the mountain and blocked the trail about 1 1/2 miles up to put in a new natural gas pipeline. My mountain has been sliced open again and will have another huge scar. Horrible!
