On the Trail

Rob and I hiked up the Elephant Rock trail a little ways this afternoon. Such a beautiful time of year. The river is rushing like mad with the snow runoff. There are wildflowers here and there, and the mountain is as green as can be from all the rain we've had, and still has snow-capped peaks.

We were both missing Holls and Burd and thinking how much fun it was to hike with them last year in Logan Canyon. We will do it again, that's for sure...maybe in Oregon next time!

Unfortunately, crews have torn up the mountain and blocked the trail about 1 1/2 miles up to put in a new natural gas pipeline. My mountain has been sliced open again and will have another huge scar. Horrible!

"Nice toss," says Atticus. "I'm after it!"

Goofball.

And a little of me, too. No surprise I'm hanging out with the foodies.

One More

The first of more to come. Luvin the Hotwheels.

Georgia Visit

I've been home over a week and it's about stinkin time I posted some pictures from my visit to Becky and Asher in Georgia! Had a wonderful, amazing, fabulous time with them. The sun shone every single day, although the humidity was competing for front stage the whole time! We played, ate, played, ate, played, ate...you get the picture. And here are some real pictures for your viewing pleasure!

Time for some wheels! The little man is a speed demon!

Dragonoid and Asher were inseparable!

And the most beautiful and sweet dog in the world...Atticus!

And here's one of me and my little buddy. He took the shot with the remote!

And last, my little buddy and his sweet momma!

 More to come :).

Happy Mom's Day

I'm a week late posting a Mom's Day photo, but my computer has been ill - very ill. I think it's recovered now and I'm back in business.

What would Mother's Day be for me if I didn't spend it with my cute mom? It seems to be my tradition every year.  I know, I'm lucky that I live only 7 miles away from her. So I try to take advantage of it.

I love what Di posted on her blog about moms. One of the things she said about our Mom was: "My Mother is my greatest example of love, courage, strength, hope and FAITH." When I read that, I had to smile, because that is EXACTLY how I feel about my mom. I know I'll embarrass her by writing this, but I really do think that she is PERFECT. She is my angel on earth. It's so amazing to be loved so much by her. Thank you, Mom, for just being you and leading the way. I love YOU!

It was so fun to have Holly and Burd around last week, too. I'm afraid I will be losing the HollBurd soon to a certain company in Oregon that has become quite impressed with Burd. So much so, that they flew him on over to meet him in person last week, and are now trying to get the two luvBurds to FLY THE COUP to Oregon and have Burd join the company. Hate to lose them, but this might be a fabulous opportunity for them. Life is an adventure every step of the way, and theirs is just beginning.

Hey! Did you see the YouTube clip called the Ultimate Dog Tease?

We got some good laughs out of that one!

Ha Ha! So long, for now. :)

Mom is 3/4 of a Century!

Imagine living three-quarters of a century. Mom reached that milestone today! She follows dad by just a couple of weeks. That's really something to celebrate! Happy birthday, Mom!

One candle still glowing! I know who that's for :). Aren't those two of the sweetest people on the entire earth?!

My tulips got in on the celebration and were in fine form today, just for Mom.

Happy birthday, Mom! Love you so much!

Happy Easter!

It was an Easter get together at the Farmington homestead today. Mom served up a delicious meal and we enjoyed hanging out with each other. It was so fun to see the Bandleys and hear about Sue and Conor's trip to France! Happy Easter to everyone!

Holly's been busy at the sewing machine making baby cardi's for her little niece, Lizzy, who just turned one! Are these adorable, or WHAT?!!!!
