Winter in Georgia

It's a great day when I get a phone call from Becky asking me to come tend Asher while she travels to San Antonio for work! It's an even greater day when That Day finally arrives and I show up at Asher's preschool with my arms open and he runs into them! I love that little man so much! Enjoy some photos of our fun together!

Construction is going strong in Becky's neighborhood, and I was enchanted by the back yard of his home. It backs up to the woods and has a built-in fire pit. Want!!! (And can you believe GREEN grass in January?!)

Up the Mountain

Once upon a time, there was a girl and a boy who loved the mountains. There came a time when they moved far away from their beautiful mountains. Every day, the boy and the girl longed for their mountains with all their hearts. Then, when the weather turned cool and the leaves fell from the trees, the boy and the girl got to come back to visit their beautiful mountains. With excitement, they put on their warm coats and took their special brother and mom with them, and they hiked up their beloved mountain trail.

Fortunately, the sun was shining and the sky was clear, and it was a beautiful time to be up in the mountains. Unfortunately, the snowy trail had turned to ice, and try as they did, the girl, the boy, the brother, and the mom, and went slip, slip, slip the higher they climbed on the mountain trail. So they snapped some pictures to remember their beloved mountains and headed back down the trail. And the mountain heard them exclaim as they drove away, what a beautiful hike they had taken on such a beautiful day!
